The Gila Monster is an animal which is native to our desert in Southern Arizona. It can range from 12" to 24" in length, and it is quite dangerous because of its poisonous venom. (Only a handful of lizards in the world are venomous.) You do not want to be bitten by a Gila Monster!
In spite of this, Gila Monsters are quite colorful (pink, orange or yellow). The patterns of color and black on their skin are quite lovely.
