This painting was commissioned by friends of ours, Gloria and Fred Niebisch, in Nanoose Bay, British Columbia, Canada. "Lofty Lookout" exemplifies how alert eagles are, even when they seem to be relaxing. Eagles, always on the lookout, have incredibly keen eyesight; hence, they can perch high in trees and still be searching for prey hundreds of yards away on the ground. They are simply awesome creatures.
