Our Elevator Mural

The ride up and down our elevator was a little dull.  So, why not paint a mural on the wall between the floors?  I chose a torch cactus -- because of the bright colors and lovely cactus upon which the blossoms grow.  The only sad thing about the torch cactus is that the flowers last for only one day...so you have to look fast.  That corresponds with our elevator ride -- one must look fast while riding up and down!

The photo on the left shows the wall with the scissors-door open (in order to paint the mural, I had stop the elevator in mid-flight by opening the door.)  The photo on the right shows the view one sees when zooming up and down between floors - with the scissors-door closed.

Finished size:  approx. 5' X 5'
