The Penstemon is one of the earliest wildflowers to bloom in the springtime in Arizona. It comes in many colors, but the pink is the most special to me. The leaves (green or a blue-green) are beautiful, and the slender stocks carry such graceful flowers. It's always a happy time when the pink penstemon begin to blossom in April!
