PRICKLY PEAR -- FIRST SIGN OF SPRING

After we moved to Arizona, I was amazed to see my first Prickly Pear in blossom! This is one of the very first signs of spring in the desert -- this cactus has pink or yellow flowers (each resembling a rose!) all along the edges of the cactus. But, be careful, the thorns are very dangerous. Best to look, not touch.
